319 Scholes Archive

DESCRIPTION

319 Scholes is a gallery space in Brooklyn, New York that showcases the digital arts. Their exhibitions and performances are great examples of the challenges of seeing, discussing, and archiving new media art. Inspired by their space, and the difficulties inherent in saving digital work, I proposed an online archive to host the work that is shown there. I created the 319 Archive hoping to provide a place for other artists, curators, and the general public to learn about these works, their presentation, and their message. Over the course of a year and a half I worked with the staff of 319 Scholes to reserach and develop this part of the site.
